These impressive titles were all conferred on a small, red-haired Scotswoman named Mary Slessor (1848-1915). From insignificant beginnings in the slums of Dundee, Scotland, Mary gained legendary status through her work as a leading pioneering missionary. Far from exalting in her fame, however, she turned all her attention to being Gd’s servant, wanting only to bring the knowledge and love of Christ to those who had not heard.
